Personal or "Signature Loans" are available for just about any purpose: computers, home entertainment systems, furniture, home office equipment. Loans range from as little as $200 to as much as $15,000. You may choose a fixed payment term (typically 12 to 48 months), or a $5,000 open-ended Signature Line of Credit, which allows additional cash advances without having to re-apply.
