Email Scams
Rancho Federal Credit Union wants to make sure that you do not respond to unsolicited emails with your personal information.

"Phishing" is a type of email scam designed to steal your identity claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise. In a typical incident, you will receive an email that appears to be from a reputable company, e.g. NCUA (National Credit Union Association) or from Rancho Federal Credit Union itself, warning of a serious problem that needs your immediate attention (usually involving your personal or financial information).

If you receive one of these email messages, please DO NOT RESPOND. It is important to DELETE THESE EMAILS as soon as you get them. No reliable organization, including your Credit Union, will ever ask you for your personal information, such as social security or account number, via email. You should never release your personal information without verifying the legitimacy of the recipient.
